CHARD, your bass-line kicks god dammed ass pal.
But we really do have to do something about the

Every time I look into your eyes,
Every time I gaze into your smile
I feel like making up
I feel like making love
Waking up to you just makes my day...
What I really luv about this piece
Now when i heard the original raw bass loop on top of one of my percussion loops, i realised immediately that
there was the potential for a song in there somewhere. The only problem was the bass actually fucked up half way through the
best bit.
So... after listening to the whole original jam that lasted about 10 mins or so, I quite
literally ripped my favourite bits, wethere it be 2bars long, or 1/4bar.
I then used cool edit pro to copy n paste the best of bits around the original bass i luved, and
subsequently broke that up into about 3 or 4 two bar loops. That is what you are hearing...
And finally yes youre right. That moan and groan occasionally repeated in the background is
some of the original vocals that leaked thru when i innitially created the loops as above mentioned...
Why am i going on you say... Well if youre a techie nerd muso geek like me, you know its bloody
hard to create a live feel. Well if you listen to this bass-line it really feels live. And if you listen
real carefully, you will notice that it does actually change, although be it quite subtley. I think
that that is the trick to getting that authentic live feel, subtle changes, not substancial ones..
till next time...
